Frances Lavis
BA(Hons), MPsych Clinical, GDipRurGenPrac
Frances is a certified Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society Member.
Her interest in seeking to more fully understand the cultural heritage of friends in Darwin led to initially studying the history of Southeast Asia. This interest and desire for a deeper understanding of people and culture led her into the field of psychology as a mature aged student.
Frances has an expertise in aiding individuals with various psychological, emotional and health concerns. This encompasses providing support for managing mental health, physical well-being, chronic pain conditions, and substance abuse problems.
Prior to completing her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, Frances has worked a variety of rolls after serving in the Royal Australian Navy; held various employment positions within Queensland Health Hospitals and also Community Health facilities; and volunteered in school and charity organisations.
Mark Lavis : Administrator
Mark who holds down the admin side of our business, has a vast history with helping people.
In 1997 completed 20 years’ service within the Royal Australian Navy. One outstanding highlight of his Naval career included the rescue of 72 Vietnamese refugees on the 17th June 1980 in the South China Sea.
After his Naval Service he spent 20 years in the aviation industry.
Firstly from 1997 to 2006 with Surveillance Australia where he managed the administration and training
of over 100+ aircrew for the Australian Customs Service Coast watch/Border Protection.
During this period Mark was involved in the rescue of 100’s of refugees.
After leaving Surveillance Australia, Mark was employed by Aero Rescue Pty Ltd from 2006 to 2017.
Here he was a Mission Coordinator conducting Search and Rescue missions helping people in distress.
Mark has also been gainfully employment as a bus driver with Brisbane City Council and
North Burnett Regional Council from 2017 to 2021.
Mark’s extensive career has revolved around a desire to protect Australia, and helping people.
This continues today working within the administration side of our psychology business.
